Warranty Information

At Move-Ability, we are committed to delivering exceptional quality and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. To support this commitment, we offer a comprehensive 12-month warranty on all mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs, and a 3-month warranty on batteries.

Our Warranty Promise

We believe in the reliability of our products and their ability to enhance your independence and daily mobility. While we maintain rigorous quality control standards, some issues may arise that are beyond our control. Our warranty ensures that, in the event of a manufacturer defect, your product will be repaired or replaced — giving you peace of mind.

Included in the Warranty:

  • 12 months coverage for factory defects in materials or workmanship (excluding batteries).

  • 3 months coverage for defects in batteries under normal use.

Not Covered by Warranty:

  • Misuse or damage due to accidents, neglect, or improper use.

  • Off-road use or use on wet, unsafe, or uneven terrain.

  • Water damage, punctures, and general wear-and-tear.

  • Commercial use or use outside intended purposes.

  • Fitment of non-approved accessories or modifications.

  • Damage caused by lightning or power surges.

  • Lack of proper maintenance or use of non-approved repair services.

Exclusions – Wear & Tear Items

The following items are considered normal wear-and-tear and are not covered by warranty:

  • Tyres and tubes

  • Brake pads

  • Brushes

  • Upholstery and seat padding

  • Armrests

Battery Warranty (3 Months)

Battery life and performance depend heavily on usage and charging habits. We warrant all new batteries against manufacturing defects under normal use for a period of 3 months from the date of purchase.

Battery Care Guidelines:

  • Initial charge: 8–12 hours.

  • Regular charging: After each use, for at least 8 hours.

  • Idle periods: Charge at least once a month if not in use.

  • Avoid deep discharge: Never allow batteries to run completely flat.

  • Do not push-ride: Doing so under low battery can damage the controller.

  • Charging safety: Do not charge overnight or leave unattended while charging.

Failure to follow these guidelines may void your battery warranty.

Warranty Claim Process – Hassle-Free and Nationwide

  1. Collection: If your product requires servicing under warranty, we will arrange for a courier to collect it from your location anywhere in South Africa. Please ensure the charger is included with your return.

  2. Assessment & Repair: Our technicians will assess the issue and repair or replace the product if the defect falls within the warranty coverage.

  3. Return: Once repaired, your product will be returned to you at no additional cost.

To process a warranty claim, you must provide:

  • Proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or order confirmation).
If proof of purchase is unavailable, warranty acceptance will be at Move-Ability's discretion.

Please note:
There is no general right of return for change-of-mind purchases. Returns are only accepted in accordance with our Returns Policy and relevant consumer laws.

  • Avoid off-road or aggressive riding.

  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections.
